Christian Contarino

Christian Contarino, a PhD in mathematics from the University of Trento, is co-founder and CTO of Computational Life and is leading the development of a cloud-based digital twin platform for in silico clinical trials. For more than a decade, he has been an entrepreneur in medical modeling for medical devices and drug development, collaborating with CROs and industry to develop computational models for cardiovascular, pulmonary, and PK/PD domains, including PBPK/PD frameworks for drugs and devices (e.g., LVAD, ECMO). His work appears in Nature, Biomechanics and Modeling in Mechanobiology, and Journal of Computational Physics; he has presented at ESAIO, ISVND, and ESAO, and has been awarded the ISVND Young Investigator, LE&RN Travel, and Gerhard Jirka Awards. He obtained his piano diploma from the Genoa Conservatory in 2012, is president of Alto Adige Pride South Tyrol and is a supporter of Rainbow Family.
