Iris Omari Ansong is a dancer, performer, and dance teacher based in Vienna. Her work explores the themes of Black Atlantic, Afro/Diasporic Futurism, pleasure, and vulnerability. Iris focuses on collective performance formats and interdisciplinary project work. She engages with contemporary performance practices in a way that questions her perspective as a Black, queer, and non-disabled artist. Iris's recent collaborations include when broken glass glitters (SPIT Queer Performance Festival Vienna 2025), BUNX - dripping in jelly of the black atlantic (Wienwoche Festival for Art and Activism 2024), The Last Feminist (brut 2024), and Silent Lovers (ImPulsTanz 2024).
