Even at the age of nine, she knew two things crystal clear: how destructive the abuse of power is – and that she would become a lawyer.

Today, they call her AvvoCathy – a nickname that dates back to her university days and fits her perfectly: a powerful blend of legal expertise, LGBTQIA+ activism, and an uncompromising stance against injustice. Her tool? The law. Her mission? Justice for all.

AvvoCathy was the first cis person ever to hold the vice-chairmanship of Europe's largest trans organization – MIT (Movimento Identità Trans). She founded the European Center for Research on Anti-Discrimination (CESD), launched the Europe-wide award-winning Festival of Differences, and built the GayLex network – for the legal equality of LGBTQIA+ people.

She has led countless pilot projects to enforce equal opportunities:
- for barrier-free access to public competitions for blind and visually impaired people
- against the gender pay gap
- for the freedom of movement of people with disabilities
- for access to university exams for neurodivergent people
- for the possibility of legally changing one's name
– including for non-binary and trans people.

Today, she advises and supports companies, universities, and public institutions in the areas of ESG, diversity, and social justice – far from greenwashing and empty phrases. She gives lectures and "show conferences" throughout Italy on equality, rights, and our constitution – passionately, understandably, and uncomfortably.

She is the author of several books, including "Nessuna Causa è Persa" and "Non è normale se è violenza," and host of award-winning podcasts such as "Invertiti" – about queer people who made history – and "Dritti ai Diritti," which provides accessible information about rights and the rule of law.

She has received numerous awards for her work, including:
